About the Role
OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes or care homes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be attentive to detail, and demonstrate a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in their care. Previous experience in care settings, along with driving capabilities, will be advantageous. Duties
Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans
Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals under your care
Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
Support with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times by adhering to health and safety protocols
Assist with light domestic tasks within care environments or clients’ homes
Communicate effectively with team members, healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure coordinated care
Requirements
SkillsGood communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to operate IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others
Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a care home or home care setting
Driving skills and use of a car are desirable
Knowledge of care plans and procedures relevant to elderly or vulnerable individuals
